Air Dryer (Refrigeration)
General:
 
Compressed air is widely used in variety of manufacturing & measurement applications. Compressed air coming out of compressor is contaminated by moisture, oil and dust particles.

For efficient and effective use of compressed air it is necessary to remove these contaminants to acceptable level as per application.

Operation of Refrigeration dryer:

 

Wet compressed air enters Pre-filter where liquid droplets are separated and then enters in pre cooler (known as air to air cooler). Outgoing chilled air-cools incoming wet air in pre-cooler. Condensed moisture in pre cooler is separated in pre moisture separator. Precooled 100% saturated air enters in evaporator (also known as chiller) here it is cooled to dew point temperature of +3 deg or as per set point. Chilled air, while passing thro moisture separator, is stripped of all liquid moisture and removed by auto drain continuously. Chilled air is made to pass through air-to-air exchanger and is heated by incoming wet air.

Refrigeration unit uses eco friendly CFC (R134 A, R404 A), provides chiller outlet air temperature controller controls cooling for compressed air and operation.
